Kiedy jedyną alternatywą na uratowanie miłości jest zażycie trucizny, której działanie ma ustąpić po trzech dniach i dać kochankom zmartwychwstanie w wolnym od granic nowym, wspaniałym świecie, to czy brzmi to jak dobry plan? A może trafniejsze jest inne pytanie: może coś poszło nie tak? Wieczni kochankowie jeszcze raz wracają na scenę życia, by rzucić wyzwanie światu i między popkulturowymi kliszami próbują odnaleźć miejsce dla siebie oszukując przeznaczenie. Tylko czy wielki teatr świata pozwoli im na to? Czy może przerobi ich znowu w ikoniczny plakat Kochanków z Werony? Jedno pozostaje niezmienne – prośba Romea i Julii, żebyście raz jeszcze trzymali za nich kciuki, może z tą tylko różnicą, żebyście tym razem trzymali je nieco mocniej.

ROMEO & JULIET IS NOT DEAD

When the only option to save love is to take poison the effect of which will wear off after three days and give lovers a resurrection in a new wonderful world with no borders, does it sound like a good plan? And maybe another question is more appropriate: maybe something has gone wrong? The eternal lovers once again are returning to the scene of life to throw down the gauntlet to the world and, between the pop culture clichés, they are trying to find a place for themselves by cheating their fates. But will the great world of theatre allow them to? Or maybe yet again it will turn them into an iconic poster of The Lovers of Verona? Only one thing remains unchanged – Romeo and Juliet’s request to keep your fingers crossed for them, maybe with one subtle difference – that you keep them crossed just slightly more firmly.

The performance uses costumes by Zofia de Ines.
